General Liability Statement and Product Disclaimer

PRODUCT: THE DOCK LEDGE

1. Assumption of Risk

Use of The Dock Ledge is at your own risk. The Purchaser and/or User (collectively, the "User") acknowledges that the use of The Dock Ledge is an inherently hazardous activity that takes place over or near water. Use of this product involves known and unanticipated risks which could result in property damage, bodily injury, drowning, or death. 

By purchasing and/or using The Dock Ledge the User expressly and voluntarily assumes all risk of injury, death, or property damage arising out of the installation, maintenance, and use of the product, including but not limited to risks associated with falls, slips, water hazards, or improper installation.

2. Requirement for Proper Use

The User is solely responsible for ensuring that The Dock Ledge is: (a) Installed strictly in accordance with the provided manufacturer’s instructions and using all specified hardware; (b) Maintained by periodically inspecting all components for wear, damage, or corrosion; and (c) Used only within the specified load capacity and in adherence to all posted safety warnings (including those related to diving, jumping, and supervision).

The Dock Ledge should be used only as directed. Failure to adhere to any instructions or warnings provided by the manufacturer voids all manufacturer liability.

3. Limitation of Liability

The manufacturer, distributor, and retailer of The Dock Ledge shall not be liable for any injury, death, property damage, loss, or expense, whether direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive, arising from the purchase, installation, use, or misuse, including disregard of the safety guidelines provided, of this product, even if the manufacturer has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

The manufacturer’s liability is expressly limited to the repair or replacement of a defective product or the refund of the purchase price.

By using this product, the User waives any and all claims against the manufacturer, distributor, and retailer.

WARNINGS

DROWNING HAZARD: Always closely supervise children and non-swimmers when they are on or near The Dock Ledge. Never leave children unattended. Children and non-swimmers should wear a properly fitted life-jacket or personal flotation device when on or near The Dock Ledge. 

DIVING/JUMPING: Always check water depth and the surrounding area before diving or jumping off of The Dock Ledge. Water depth may be insufficient and could result in serious injury or death.

SLIP HAZARD: The platform surface will be wet and slippery. Exercise extreme caution when stepping on or off the platform. Always move slowly and deliberately; do not run or jump onto the platform. Use non-slip footwear where appropriate. 

FALL HAZARD: Do not climb on or use the support bars for anything other than their intended purpose.

IMPROPER USE: Do not stand on the platform bars or use the product for activities other than its intended purpose.

MAXIMUM WEIGHT CAPACITY: Do not exceed 800 lbs for The Dock Ledge. Maximum of 3 people. Exceeding the stated capacity can cause the product to fail, resulting in injury.

CHECK SECURE MOUNTING: Before each use, verify that the Dock Ledge is securely fastened to the dock according to the installation instructions. Loose mounting can cause the platform to shift or detach. 

INSTALLATION: The Dock Ledge must be installed properly and securely according to the included instructions. Improper installation is dangerous and voids any warranty.

INSPECT FOR DAMAGE: Periodically inspect all components, including the aluminum, fasteners, and mounting hardware, for wear, damage, or corrosion. Do not use the product if any part is damaged or worn. Check before first season use and after severe weather or any impact.

ADJUSTMENTS: Ensure the platform height adjustments are securely locked into place before use. Never use the platform when its adjustable components are unlocked or only partially secured.
